The Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey and marks the beginning of the childs' spiritual and sacramental life.
Arrangements for Baptism must be made a month in advance. Please contact Father Anthony to arrange a meeting. Non-members of our parish are required to obtain a letter from their parish.
WHAT IS REQUIRED? A candle.
A baptismal cloth.
A stole fee for the church and priest - R100 for adults and infants.
Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also known as the Sacrament of Penance or Confession. Through the Sacrament of Reconciliation we are brought back into union with God.
Preparation fo r this Sacrament is taught as the first part of the programme of the children preparing for First Holy Communion.
Confessions are heard on Saturdays between 17:00 and 17:30 and also on request.
First Holy Communion
Preparing to receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion for the first time is one of the most memorable experiences parents share with their children. It is vital that both parents and children attend Mass on a regular basis in order for the child to understand fully what the Eucharist is all about.
Parents are encouraged to enrol their children in our catechism programme at the beginning of each year at an early age. Preparation for First Holy Communion takes place between the ages of 8 and 10 years old and run over a two-year programme. Catechism takes place after Mass every Sunday from about 09:15 to 09:45.
STOLE FEE: R50.00
The Sacrament of First Holy Communion usually takes place in November.
Confirmation
Confirmation is a continuance of what has begun at Baptism: a continuance of the awareness of the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Candidates between the ages of 14 and 16 who seek full initiation into the church are encouraged to join the catechism programme in preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation which runs over a two year period. Confirmation classes form part of our catechism programme and take place after Mass every Sunday between 09:15 and 09:45.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is administered by the Archbishop of the Diocese of Pretoria.
Special programs are arranged for adults.

Marriage
For any couple, the decision to marry is life-changing. The Sacrament of Matrimony blesses their union.
Couples planning to marry should make an appointment with Father Anthony three months' before the proposed wedding date as a great deal of administration needs to be completed. The couple will also attend a Marriage Preparation course which focuses on their relationship, gives an understanding of the Sacrament of Matrimony and a deeper awareness of their commitment to each other.
WHAT IS REQUIRED? Baptism and Confirmation Certificates.
A letter of freedom to marry from parish of origin.
If from outside of this parish, a letter of permission from your parish priest.
The arrangement of music, flowers and entertainment are the responsibility of the couple. No confetti or flower petals are permitted in the Church or the grounds at the entrance of the Church.

Anointing of the Sick
The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick provides spiritual help and strength to those who are unwell and is often administered to those who are housebound due to illness. The priest prays for, and with, the sick person and anoints them with Holy Oil.
If you are facing an illness or surgery, please inform Father Anthony or one of our members. Visits can be arranged at home or in hospital.
